Maia Darmon

I'm an undergraduate student at McGill University, completing a degree in Honours Mathematics with a minor in Linguistics. My interests in math include group theory, representation theory, Galois theory, and algebraic topology. I am also exploring different areas of math and computer science, in particular logic, set theory and computability theory, and would like to expand my knowledge of theoretical computer science and fields which combine linguistics with math and computer science, such as semantics or computational linguistics.

More about me

Outside of my academic interests, in my (very limited) spare time, I enjoy many activities such as reading, listening to music, playing piano, and baking. Over the past year, I've been working with the McGill student organization, Montreal Heart of the City Piano Program. I also love spending time with friends and family, and I am always open to socializing and meeting new people, so feel free to talk to me anytime, and I would be glad to discuss anything from math, research and academia to music, languages and art.
